AS Lotion & Skin Care Serum Pump Sprayer Travel Dispensing Bottle

When I look at a Cosmetic Bottle, I do not see it as just a container. I see the complete user experience: how the bottle looks on a shelf, how it feels in the hand, how easily the product comes out, how much product is left inside, and whether the packaging still works properly after repeated use. For skincare brands, these small details can make a real difference.

Our AS Lotion & Skin Care Serum Pump Sprayer Travel Dispensing Bottle is designed for brands that need practical Cosmetic Packaging with a clean appearance, convenient dispensing and flexible customization. The bottle can be used for lotions, skin care serums, creams, personal care products and other beauty formulas where controlled dispensing is important.

At Yuyao Dingyu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd., I work with a team that has been involved in cosmetic packaging manufacturing for many years. We have our own factory in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang, with a 5,000-square-meter production site, mold development facilities, injection molding machines and product testing equipment. We also provide OEM and ODM services, so customers do not have to choose between a standard bottle and a completely new packaging solution.

For us, a good cosmetic bottle should do three things well: protect the product, make daily use simple, and give the brand enough room for its own design. That is the thinking behind this AS lotion and serum pump dispensing bottle.

1. What Makes This AS Lotion and Serum Bottle Practical?

The first thing you notice about this bottle is its clear, modern appearance. AS material is commonly known as styrene-acrylonitrile, or SAN. It is often selected when a packaging project needs a transparent plastic appearance with a more refined visual effect than many ordinary opaque containers.

For skincare packaging, appearance matters because the bottle is part of the product presentation. A clear or semi-clear bottle can help create a clean, fresh and modern look. It can also make the package feel lighter and easier to understand when the product inside has a suitable color or texture.

The second point is dispensing. Instead of asking the customer to open a cap and pour the product every time, the pump system allows the user to press the actuator and dispense a controlled amount. This is useful for lotions and serums because people normally use these products several times during a skincare routine.

The third point is portability. A travel dispensing bottle needs to be easy to carry and simple to use. It should fit naturally into a cosmetic bag, bathroom cabinet, hotel kit or personal care set. The exact size and pump configuration can be discussed according to the customer's formula, filling volume and application.

I also pay attention to the relationship between the bottle and the pump. A beautiful bottle is not enough if the pump feels weak, sticks during use or does not match the product viscosity. That is why pump selection and functional checking are important parts of our packaging development process.

Packaging FactorWhy It MattersOur Approach
AppearanceCreates the visual impression of a skincare productAS bottle structure with options for color and surface decoration
DispensingHelps users apply lotion or serum without repeatedly opening the bottleMatching pump or sprayer selected according to the product application
PortabilityUseful for travel, samples, personal care kits and daily skincareCompact bottle designs and customized packaging configurations
BrandingPackaging needs to match the visual identity of the brandSilk-screen printing, hot stamping, frosting, electroplating and color matching

Source note: The packaging and labelling requirements for Cosmetic Products are addressed by ISO 22715:2006, which remains a current confirmed standard according to ISO.

2. How Does the Pump Dispensing System Work?

A pump bottle looks simple from the outside, but there is a small working system inside. When I explain it to customers, I usually keep it simple: you press the pump, the internal mechanism moves, pressure changes inside the pump, and the cosmetic formula is pushed through the dispensing path toward the outlet.

For a normal lotion or serum pump, the main parts can include the actuator, pump head, spring or internal mechanism, sealing components and product passage. The exact structure depends on the selected pump and the formula.

With a traditional dip-tube pump, the tube reaches down into the product and the pump draws the formula upward. This type of system is familiar and works well for many liquid and lotion products. However, the pump must be correctly matched with the product viscosity and bottle structure.

Airless dispensing works differently. Instead of relying on a conventional dip tube, an airless system can use a piston, vacuum effect or other mechanical structure to move the formula toward the pump. This is one reason Airless Packaging is widely considered when formula protection and product evacuation are important.

Aptar Beauty explains that airless packaging is designed to reduce exposure of the formula to air and may use piston, vacuum or bag-in-bottle mechanisms rather than a traditional dip tube. Aptar also reports evacuation rates above 90% for some of its airless dispensing systems. This figure applies to those specific systems, not automatically to every Airless Bottle on the market.

Dispensing TypeBasic Working IdeaCommon Application Consideration
Dip-Tube PumpProduct is drawn upward through an internal tubeSuitable for many lotions and liquid cosmetic formulas
Airless PumpPiston, vacuum or related mechanism moves product toward the outletUseful when formula protection and product evacuation are important
SprayerInternal pump creates a spray or fine dispensing outputUseful when the product needs a lighter, wider or more even application

Source: The basic airless mechanism descriptions and the reported 90%+ evacuation figure are based on Aptar Beauty's published airless packaging information.

For our AS lotion and serum packaging, I do not recommend choosing the pump simply because it looks good. I first consider the product itself. A thin serum, medium-viscosity lotion and thick cream can behave very differently. The pump output, internal passage, closure and bottle design should work together.

That is why samples are useful before mass production. Once we have the actual formula information and target filling volume, we can discuss the suitable pump structure and provide samples for evaluation.

3. Key Features of Our AS Cosmetic Dispensing Bottle

One of the strongest points of this packaging solution is its flexibility. Cosmetic Brands rarely have exactly the same requirements. One customer may want a clear bottle with a simple black pump. Another may need a frosted appearance, a special color, a printed logo and a customized pump. A third customer may need a completely new mold based on an existing sample.

Our production process supports these different project types.

Clear and Modern AS Appearance

The AS bottle structure gives brands a clean visual base for skincare and beauty packaging. It works especially well when the design direction is modern, simple and product-focused.

Suitable for Lotions and Serums

The bottle can be developed for skincare lotions, facial serums, personal care products and other formulas where pump dispensing is preferred. Before mass production, we recommend checking the actual formula and pump performance rather than assuming that one pump works equally well for every product.

Travel-Friendly Packaging Concept

The travel dispensing bottle format is useful for travel-size skincare, hotel amenities, cosmetic gift sets, sample products and portable personal care kits. Small packaging also gives brands more opportunities to create trial-size products without changing the overall visual identity of the product line.

Multiple Surface Finishes

We can provide several decoration options, including color matching, silk-screen printing, hot stamping, electroplating and frosting. These finishes can be combined with the bottle shape and pump color to create different brand styles.

OEM and ODM Support

If a standard product is not enough, we can work from customer drawings or samples. Our mold workshop allows us to participate in new mold development, while our production team can support injection molding, assembly, inspection and packaging.

Flexible Pump Selection

We also provide different matching pump heads. This is important because the pump is not simply an accessory. It is the part that directly affects the way the customer experiences the product.

4. AS Material, Design and Packaging Performance

Material selection is one of those details that can look small on a product specification sheet but become very important during real production. For this type of packaging, AS is used as the bottle material specified for the product.

AS, commonly referring to styrene-acrylonitrile resin, is known for its transparent appearance and is used in various plastic applications. Technical material databases list SAN density at approximately 1.06–1.10 g/cm³, although the actual density can vary with grade and formulation.

MaterialTypical Density RangeGeneral Packaging Consideration
SAN / ASApprox. 1.06–1.10 g/cm³Clear appearance and suitable for applications where visual presentation matters
PPApprox. 0.90–0.91 g/cm³Lightweight plastic commonly used for many cosmetic packaging components
PEVaries by grade, commonly below 1.00 g/cm³Widely used in packaging and available in different grades

Source note: Density values are general material reference data and should not be treated as the exact density of a specific production grade. SAN density data is referenced from SpecialChem's plastics material database.

For a real cosmetic packaging project, density is only one part of the decision. I also look at appearance, wall thickness, molding behavior, compatibility, decoration requirements, bottle strength, filling process and the customer's target cost.

Formula compatibility is especially important. A bottle may look perfect in a catalog but still need testing with the actual lotion or serum. The product can have its own alcohol content, oil phase, active ingredients, fragrance or other components. Therefore, we recommend using samples for compatibility and functional evaluation before approving mass production.

This is also why we do not treat sample production as a formality. A sample is a practical way to check the complete packaging combination before a large order is released.

5. Manufacturing Process: From Mold to Finished Cosmetic Bottle

Because we operate our own manufacturing factory, we can follow the packaging project through several important stages instead of simply purchasing a finished bottle from another supplier.

Step 1: Requirement Review

First, I need to understand what the customer actually wants. This normally includes bottle size, filling volume, formula type, pump or sprayer requirement, color, decoration, application and expected order quantity.

If the customer already has a drawing or physical sample, we can use that as the starting point. If not, we can discuss a suitable standard packaging structure.

Step 2: Mold Development

For customized projects, mold development is a key step. The mold controls the basic shape and many dimensional details of the bottle. We review the design before production to reduce avoidable problems later.

Step 3: Injection Molding

After the mold is ready, plastic material is processed through injection molding equipment to form the bottle components. Production conditions need to be controlled so that appearance, dimensions and molding quality remain stable.

Step 4: Surface Treatment

Depending on the project, we can arrange color matching, silk-screen printing, hot stamping, electroplating, frosting and other finishing processes. This is where a basic bottle starts to look like a real brand package.

Step 5: Pump Assembly

The selected pump or sprayer is matched with the bottle. At this stage, the fit between components is important. A good bottle and a good pump still need to work together as one package.

Step 6: Quality Inspection

Before delivery, products are checked for appearance, dimensions, pump function and packaging condition. The goal is straightforward: reduce the chance of a customer receiving a shipment that contains avoidable production problems.

Step 7: Protective Packing

Finished bottles are packed in protective polybags, inner boxes and strong export cartons. Pallets or wooden cases can also be arranged when required by the order and shipping method.

For cosmetic packaging, manufacturing quality is not only about whether one bottle looks good. Consistency across a production batch matters just as much. This is why inspection needs to be part of the process rather than something added at the very end.

6. Customization and OEM/ODM Services for Beauty Brands

Many cosmetic brands start with a simple idea: “I need a bottle that looks like this.” That is a normal starting point. The difficult part comes later when the design needs to become a stable production product.

This is where our OEM and ODM service can help.

We can work from customer drawings or physical samples and provide support for new mold development. We can also help with color matching and surface decoration. If you already have a brand identity, we can discuss how the bottle, pump and decoration can work together.

For example, a skincare brand may want a transparent AS bottle with a white pump and a simple logo. Another brand may prefer a frosted body with hot stamping. A premium serum line may require electroplating or a special color combination. These are different visual directions, but the production process can be adjusted according to the project.

Customization ServiceTypical PurposeSuitable Project Stage
New Mold DevelopmentCreate a custom bottle shape or componentNew product development
Color MatchingMatch bottle or component color with brand requirementsBrand customization
Silk-Screen PrintingAdd logos, text or graphic elementsBrand identification
Hot StampingCreate metallic or decorative printed effectsPremium cosmetic presentation
FrostingCreate a soft, matte or semi-transparent visual effectSkincare and beauty packaging design
ElectroplatingAdd a decorative metallic appearancePremium packaging projects

For a new packaging project, I recommend starting with samples. Samples allow you to check the bottle in your own hands, test the pump with your formula, review the appearance and confirm whether the decoration looks right. It is much easier to make a change at the sample stage than after a large production order has already been completed.

7. Why Work With Yuyao Dingyu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd.?

We founded Yuyao Dingyu Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. in 2014 and have focused on cosmetic packaging manufacturing for many years. Our factory is located in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, about 2 km from the Yuyao exit of the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway. This location gives us convenient access to transportation and helps us organize domestic and export shipments efficiently.

Our plant covers about 5,000 square meters and includes mold development workshops, injection molding machines and testing equipment. More importantly, we operate our own manufacturing facility, which gives us a more direct connection between product development and production.

Our product range is not limited to AS lotion and serum bottles. Airless Cosmetic Bottles are one of our key product lines, and we also produce lotion bottles, perfume bottles, PET bottles and other beauty packaging products.

This wider product range is useful for brands that want several types of packaging from one supplier. Instead of managing every bottle, pump and decoration project separately, customers can discuss different packaging requirements with the same team.

We also have experience with international orders. Our products are exported to North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia and other markets. We have self-operated import and export rights and established foreign-trade workflows.

Our normal production lead time is around 15–30 days after sample approval and order confirmation. Custom mold development can require additional time because the mold itself needs to be designed, manufactured, tested and approved.

For payment, our general arrangement is 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment, subject to the final order agreement. Shipping can be arranged by sea, air or express depending on quantity, destination and urgency.

We aim to reply to customer inquiries within 24 hours and provide tailored solutions within one week. For us, the point is not simply to sell a bottle. We want to help customers move from an initial packaging idea to samples, approval and stable mass production.

We also understand that cosmetic packaging is connected to the finished cosmetic product. ISO maintains standards covering cosmetic packaging and labelling as well as cosmetic good manufacturing practices, including ISO 22715 and ISO 22716. These standards provide useful reference points for packaging and production management, although specific regulatory requirements still depend on the destination market and product.

8. FAQ About AS Lotion, Serum and Travel Dispensing Bottles

Q1: What products can be filled into this AS dispensing bottle?

The packaging can be considered for skincare lotions, facial serums, personal care products, creams and other cosmetic formulas that are suitable for the selected dispensing system. Because formulas vary, we recommend testing the actual product with the bottle and pump before mass production.

Q2: Is this bottle suitable for travel-size cosmetic products?

Yes. The travel dispensing bottle concept is suitable for travel skincare, cosmetic sample sets, personal care kits and portable beauty products. The exact capacity and dimensions can be discussed according to the customer's project.

Q3: Can I customize the bottle color?

Yes. We provide color matching as part of our customization service. Customers can provide a color reference or discuss the desired visual effect with our team.

Q4: Can you print my logo on the bottle?

Yes. We can provide silk-screen printing and hot stamping, along with other surface decoration options. The exact printing method depends on the bottle material, artwork, color and required appearance.

Q5: Can you develop a completely new bottle mold?

Yes. We provide new mold development for OEM and ODM projects. Customers can provide drawings, samples or an initial packaging concept for discussion.

Q6: Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. We can provide samples for customer evaluation before mass production. We strongly recommend this step for customized projects because it gives you a chance to check the appearance, dimensions, pump operation and overall packaging combination before approving production.

Q7: How long does mass production take?

Our standard production time is generally 15–30 days after sample approval and order confirmation. Custom mold development may take additional time depending on the mold structure and project requirements.

Q8: What is your usual payment term?

Our general payment arrangement is 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment. The final payment terms are confirmed according to the specific order agreement.

Q9: How do you pack Cosmetic Bottles for export?

We normally use protective polybags, inner boxes and strong export cartons. Pallets or wooden cases can be arranged when required. The final packing method can be discussed according to the product, order quantity and shipping conditions.

Q10: Which shipping methods can you provide?

We can arrange sea freight, air freight or express delivery. The suitable option depends mainly on order quantity, destination, required delivery time and transportation budget.

Q11: How should I choose between a pump and a sprayer?

I normally suggest starting with the product formula and the way the consumer is expected to use it. A lotion may need a conventional pump, while a thinner formula or a product designed for a lighter application may be better suited to a sprayer. The pump output and product viscosity should be tested together.

Q12: Why should I test the bottle with my own formula?

Because cosmetic formulas are not all the same. Viscosity, oils, alcohol, fragrance, active ingredients and other components can affect packaging performance. A sample test helps confirm compatibility, dispensing behavior, appearance and sealing before a large order is produced.

From a Sample Idea to a Finished Cosmetic Packaging Solution

When I talk with a customer about cosmetic packaging, I prefer to start with the actual product instead of immediately talking about price. What is the formula? What is the filling volume? How should the customer dispense it? What does the brand want the bottle to look like? Is the product sold online, in retail stores, through salons or as a Travel Set?

Once these questions are clear, it becomes much easier to select the right packaging structure.

Our AS Lotion & Skin Care Serum Pump Sprayer Travel Dispensing Bottle is a flexible option for skincare and personal care brands that want a clean appearance, convenient dispensing and customization possibilities. From a standard bottle project to a fully customized OEM/ODM packaging program, we can support mold development, injection molding, decoration, pump matching, sampling, inspection and export packing.

For us, the most important part of the job is making sure the packaging works in the real world. A bottle should look good in product photography, but it should also feel right in the customer's hand, dispense the formula smoothly and arrive at the destination in good condition.

If you are developing a new lotion, serum or travel skincare product, you can send us your bottle drawing, physical sample, target capacity, formula information or even a simple packaging idea. We can review the requirements and discuss a suitable AS bottle, pump or sprayer configuration.

With our in-house factory, mold development capability, OEM & ODM service, surface finishing options and export experience, we aim to provide a complete cosmetic packaging solution from the first sample to mass-order delivery.
